All Telephone bookings are provisional. Places may only be reserved in writing,
or by e-mail.
Your course place / group booking will only be confirmed when a booking form and
deposit has been received.
You will hear from us within 5 working days of receiving the booking form.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all course pre-requisites before
attending a course, Highland first aid will not take any liability for any loss if
you do not have the correct entry requirements.
Payment will be received in full, 14 days prior to the course date, unless specifically
agreed otherwise in writing with us.
All invoices are due within 21 days of the date shown on that invoice. We reserve
the right to charge a £5 per day late payment fee after 21 days has passed.
Any charges incurred by us due to funds not clearing will be charged to you.
For group bookings only, travel costs will be charged if the course is located more
than 40 miles from our office in Carrbridge, (near Aviemore) Inverness-shire. Travel
costs will be charged at the cost to us per mile.
For group bookings, if the venue is further than 40 miles away from our office, suitable,
private and quiet accommodation is expected to be provided at your cost. If the
accommodation is not suitable we reserve the right to alternative accommodation and
invoice you for the extra fees incurred by us.
CANCELLATION AND COURSE TRANSFER
In the event of a course being cancelled by Highland first aid you will receive a
full refund of any monies paid to us. We are not liable for any losses incurred.
We cannot accept any cancellations less than 14 days in advance of the course date.
Cancellations made 14 days or less will incur half the cost of the training, including
any expenses. Cancellations made 7 days or less will incur the full cost of training
including any expenses.
Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance of the course date will incur a £50
administration fee
If you fail to arrive for the training / leave during the course/miss a significant
part of the course you will incur the full cost of the course including any expenses
and you will fail the course.
Any discounts are applicable only as specially agreed and where all of the conditions
are met. If these are not met then the fees charged will revert to the normal full
fees applicable at the time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
All participants must be fit enough to kneel, twist, bend over simulated casualties
and perform CPR.
Part of the course may occur out doors, you will accept responsibility for your own
warm and waterproof clothing. If you are inadequately equipped we reserve the right
to exclude you from the session and you will fail the course
If you or any group members have any issues that may affect their ability to complete
a course (recent injury, dyslexia) please bring it to our attention before the course,
we can then put any aids into place prior to the date.
You or any group member are expected to behave in a safe reasonable non-discriminatory
manor If our trainers find that this is not so we reserve the right to cancel the
course at any time or ask individual members to leave. The full course fee will
still be due.
