Our Training Values

  • Learning takes place when you feel comfortable and respected

  • Learning happens by doing

  • Doing means mistakes, mistakes are how we learn

  • Understanding comes from reviewing the doing

  • Understanding why we do something helps us adapt as first aid rarely happens in a training room

About Highland First Aid

First aid and menal health training can be active, practical and even fun!

We focus on keeping a relaxed informal atmosphere with  learning as a cooperative group and supportive coaching to give you the real life skills you need.

Appropriate Learning Technology

We use a range of training methods that work the way people learn, from group tasks to working in pairs, feedback in real time for CPR and an inovative graphics system that is simpler and more powerful than Powepoint.

We also use a lot of 'low tech' whiteboards, learning posters and laughter.
