Service Description

Delivered in an active and practical way in a realxed atmosphere with ongoing coaching. The course is 6 hours, so many organisations chose to start at 9am and finish at 4pm with two 15 min comfort breaks and 30 mins for lunch. But its your course so you tell us when you want to start! Emergency First Aid at Work is module 1 of the 3 day FIrst Aid at Work and the 2 day Revalidation. You can combine these courses to make is simpler to train your team, i.e. Day 1 Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work and Revalidation for First Aid at Work. Day 2 is First Aid at Work and Revalidation for First Aid at Work. Day 3 is the First Aid at Work. You can also add +F Forestry to day 1, this is an extra 2 hour module at £15 per person. Depending on location travel and accommodation costs may be added.


Cancellation Policy

Highland First Aid Terms and Conditions In these terms and conditions of trading for Highland First Aid Ltd, Company No: SC592363, 7 Pobs Drive, Corpach, Fort William, Highlands, PH33 7JP. The Client means the person(s), Company or Organisation to whom the services of Highland First Aid are provided. Payment Payment can be made at the time of booking via the Highland First Aid website. If payment by invoice is chosen by the client, fees are payable in full no later than 30 days from date of invoice. Highland First Aid understands and will exercise its statutory right to interest and compensation for debt recovery costs under the late payment legislation if we are not paid according to the agreed credit terms. Late Payment The Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (Amended 2002 and 2013) Section 5.A, states : (1) Once statutory interest begins to run in relation to a qualifying debt, the supplier shall be entitled to a fixed sum (in addition to the statutory interest on the debt). (2) That sum shall be– (a) for a debt less than £1000, the sum of £40; (b) for a debt of £1000 or more, but less than £10,000, the sum of £70; (c) for a debt of £10,000 or more, the sum of £100. These sums shall be added to all overdue invoices as our legal entitlement. Certificates remain the property of Highland First Aid Ltd until full payment has been made. Highland First Aid Ltd reserves the right to retain certificates until full payment has been made. Prices & Surcharging Even though our prices are accurate on the date published we do we reserve the right to change any of those prices. Cancellation Highland First Aid reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course. If this becomes necessary, as much notice as possible will be given and the client will be offered a choice, with due consultation of: (a) a full refund of fees or deposit already paid, if the course has not yet commenced (b) a proportionate of refund fees already paid, if the course has commenced and is not yet completed (c) an alternative date to commence or complete the course as appropriate to the circumstances. If the Client requests cancellation or postponement of any course, no fees will be payable PROVIDED that not less than 21 business days written notice is given to Highland First Aid. If less than 21 business days written notice is given, Highland First Aid reserve the right to make an appropriate charge for administrative and other expenses as follows: 14 to 20 business days written notice prior to course commencement = 25% of the course fee. 7 to 13 business days written notice prior to course commencement = 50% of the course fee. A business day is the reasonable hours and days a business may be assumed to be working, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Five business days would be from Monday to Friday. Business days would not include weekends, statuary holidays or special events desgnated as national bank holidays. Less than 7 business days written notice prior to course commencement = 100% of the course fee. In exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Highland First Aid, courses may be postponed rather than cancelled. In cases where a course is immediately rearranged to an alternative date and therefore only postponed, 25% of the course fee and all travelling and accommodation charges incurred are payable as a postponement penalty. The fee for the rearranged course or place on a course would be full price. Further cancellation or postponement of an already rearranged course or place on a course would be subject to a mandatory 100% cancellation fee irrespective of the amount of prior written notice which is given. Health and Fitness Any client suffering from any mobility impairment, illness or disability or is undergoing treatment for any physical or pre existing medical condition must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking. It is the client’s responsibility to make arrangements for the provision of any medication or other treatment which may be required during the activity. Any failure to disclose any such condition will constitute a breach of these booking conditions may result in such persons being excluded from the activity in which case all monies paid will be forfeit. Clients must ensure they are familiar with the physical requirements for their booked activity. Whilst we can provide advice and guidance it is the responsibility of the client, or if under 18, their parent or guardian, to ensure that they are sufficiently fit and competent to complete their chosen activity. Highland First Aid the right to withdraw any person from any activity at any stage without refund should that person’s physical condition seriously impede or endanger the health and safety of client or others. We reserve the right to decline the participation or attendance of any client whose fitness is such that in the opinion of the designated Highland First Aid instructor, leader or vendor is unable to complete any activity. Should that person wish or be forced to make alternative accommodation and travel arrangements then Highland First Aid not be held liable for any such costs that is incurred. Insurance. Highland First Aid is insured up to the maximum of £6,000,000 against claims including (I). Malpractice, Good Samaritan Acts and First Aid (I) Breach of Professional Duty (I) Professional Indemnity (II) Public Liability (III) Products Liability. . Our insurance is underwritten by Zurich Insurance Plc. Limitations of our liability. We are obliged to take reasonable care to provide you any service or facility that we advertise. Should you wish to make a claim then you should evidence that reasonable care has not been evident in our provision of services or goods. Baggage and personal effects brought onto any activity are at all times the responsibility of the customer and we accept no liability for their damage or loss. Highland First Aid reserves the right for client orientated payment for any damage caused or inflicted by any deliberate act, negligence, recklessness or wilful omission to any property or equipment belonging to our company, its agents, suppliers or providers.
